In the education and presentation sector, it is an increasingly challenging task to maintain the participants’ attention. Inserting interactive elements into the presentation can be an effective solution. However, most of the solutions available on the market require interruption of the presentation and opening another application to do so. To overcome these problems, we created Vivicon, an in-house developed interactive presentation maker app.
Vivicon enables instructors and presenters to add interactive elements to their existing slide show without leaving the presenter interface. The basic language is Hungarian, and the product is tailored to the needs of the Hungarian market, but it is also available in English.
Provided that internet connection is available, the users can access their presentations from any place, thanks to cloud-based operation. The application offers many interactive functions beyond processing large-scale digitized samples, including voting, open ended questions, word clouds and pro & con slides. Since you can insert forms or questionnaires in the system, it can also be used for exams.
Our goal is to develop Vivicon continuously in line with user and market needs, thereby offering more efficient solutions for instructors and presenters. We would like to create a bridge between presenters and participants with our product.
Considering business aspects, it was a huge challenge for us to create an innovative product that users would enjoy and to ensure the long-term presence on the market. Our primary goal is to support the work of educators and lecturers, so we focus on their needs and problems. In order to do so, we constantly analyze competitors, monitor user feedback, and try to adapt to the changing market environment based on the results.
As for the technical aspects, one of the challenges was the stable and reliable systematic management of lectures with a lot of participants. Our goal was to create a platform that works without failure even under heavy load. To ensure stable operation and system optimization, continuous load tests and performance tests are executed.
Integration of EduID (which ensures officical identification of university students) into our system was another challenge.

During the development, we combined adaptive development methods with lean startup methodology, so in the early phase of product development we obtained valuable information through the continuous feedback mechanism. Regular measurement of user behavior as a business strategy made it possible to determine the directions for further product development.
As a result of this process Vivicon Canva App has been introduced at the end of 2024. With this development, users can access the interactive elements offered by Vivicon not only in the Vivicon application, but also on Canva platform, exploiting all the editing experience provided by Canva and the interactive opportunities offered by Vivicon.
