The client is a company developing and delivering unique Quality Assurance software solutions. Their goal is to help developers write high-quality code by early detecting potential errors.
Previously, quality control alerts did not automatically appear in the developers’ workflow tracking system, which resulted in tracking an alternative system and they had to manually record the arising bug tickets in JIRA. The client’s aim was to achieve that, based on various system settings, the alerts generated in the QA system be automatically converted into JIRA tickets.
Harmonizing the data structure of different systems was a great technical challenge, since the QA software and JIRA used different kinds of data models. During the integration, it was necessary to ensure that the different concepts and data were correctly mapped. To create a product within JIRA application, it was also crucial to meet the system-specific style and structure requirements of JIRA. One critical task was to align user permissions and the authentication process so that the integrated solution could seamlessly fit into existing development workflows.

We implemented an automated solution that ensured that quality control alerts were automatically converted into JIRA tickets. The integration provided developers with real-time notifications about code quality issues, significantly reducing manual administration and speeding up bug handling. Automated data processing made the development process more efficient, minimizing the potential for human errors. One of the biggest benefits for the client was that interoperability between systems became smoother, shortening development cycles and improving software quality control.
