In the production industry, it is often a problem that there is either no communication or only limited communication between different systems, despite their operations being closely connected. Tetrabbit Ltd. operates the largest and most modern rabbit slaughterhouse in the Central European region, dealing with rabbit breeding and meat processing. Before the company’s digitalization project, breeding information was collected on paper and through Excel sheets. Data recording and storage were inaccurate, and the processing of local microclimate data at the facilities was localized and inconsistent. Measuring the animals delivered to the slaughterhouse and showing the connection between the slaughtered quantity and the net meat mass required significant human interaction. During the digitalization project, production and feeding databases were linked, and the control systems of the breeding farms and processing plants were integrated, making all information accessible on a common platform. In addition to displaying current data, predictive methods enabled by data analysis now allow for early detection of unexpected events, helping to avoid or reduce losses. The solutions developed as part of the project save significant time in work processes, simplify administrative tasks, and improve accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
